I tell stories, teach others to tell stories, and read/write about how to do both better.
I am a proud member of the Dramatists Guild, ScriptWorks, and the Writers' League of Texas. My plays have been published by ScriptWorks and are forthcoming from Next Stage Press. They have toured Louisiana and have been performed in New York City, Los Angeles, Austin, and Houston.
I earned my doctorate in Theatre History and Dramatic Literature, Theory, and Criticism from Louisiana State University, where I was a Board of Regents Fellow.
As an Associate Professor of English at a small community college in Central Texas, I teach composition and literature courses, including British, American, and Mexican American Literature. In 2023, I was awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year.
I also write curriculum. My book of advanced English language arts curriculum, which was commissioned by the Center for Gifted Education at William and Mary, is available through Routledge on Amazon.
I live in the North Austin suburbs with my husband, Derek, and two dogs, Olivia and Holden.
